Donkey is the deuteragonist of the DreamWorks's 2001 animated feature film Shrek and one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Puss in Boots) of Shrek 2, one of the two tritagonists (alongside Puss in Boots of Shrek the Third and Shrek Forever After.
He is Shrek's best friend, Dragon's husband and the Dronkeys' father.
He is voiced by Eddie Murphy.
